Subject: Seeking membership within our new DCF Advisory Board
Dear Business Management Team:
The Draper Community Foundation is looking for key corporate officers and managers from our local
Draper Business Community to join our newly created Advisory Board. This Non-profit Board will
represent Business, Education, Religious, Professional and City Councilors to provide leadership,
direction and support for a wide varieties of activities and events that are conducted throughout the
year. It will be important to find solutions that will help us build a better community.
The Draper Community Foundation gives funding and support to the following organizations:
Draper Days, Draper Arts Council, Draper Visual Arts Foundation, Draper Youth Council, Draper Trails, Draper
Historical Society, Draper Historic Theater, Fall Festival, Miss Draper and many other projects and events.
This newly created Draper Community Foundation Advisory Board will meet monthly, discuss and present formal ideas which will strengthen the Foundation and many of its affiliate organizations.
Board of Advisors Goals & Objectives:
1. Seek, find and discuss ways to increase community volunteer spirit and to engage more volunteers
within the DCF organized committees and community events.
2. Evaluate and give recommendations for improving community events.
3. Seek, find and discuss ways to increase Fund Raising activities, and recommend ways
to correlate these activities among all committees. This includes searching for all
available and appropriate grants, endowments, scholarships and sponsors.
4. Evaluate and give recommendations about new projects, affiliates and committees within
the DCF Board that provide community activities and events.
We would appreciate receiving a volunteer from your business who would be willing to work with
others and help improve our community. This would be a great opportunity for the right person to learn
more about non-profit organizations, help them achieve goals and make a real difference in our
community.
